1. Why do most fish have slim, tapering bodies? Ans:MOST CREATURES THAT SPEND THEIR WHOLE LIVES IN WATER HAVE a sleek, streamlined shape that helps them to swim. Fish come in many different shapes and sizes. Eels are long and slender, plaice and rays are flat. Angelfish are tall and thin, so they are hard to see from the front, as they approach their pray. Other fish are rounded, but almost all have a tapering shape, that allows them to slip easily through the water.
